The story of “Paise Ki Gudiya” is a satire on the so called modern girls from rich families, who behave like prostitutes for enjoyment whereas prostitutes do it, out of need. It is a satire on the so called respected persons of big families, who preach one thing to public but practice the other to their selfish interests.

Dr. Vinayak is a big doctor and also a very broad minded person. Once when he goes for a visit to Banaras, he finds a girl Madhavi, who tried to commit suicide because she came to know that she was the daughter of a prostitute and a rich man Raja Sahib wanted her to take up the same type of life.

Dr. Vinayak gives shelter to Madhavi in his house as governess.

Vijay, the only son of Vinayak comes from abroad after doing law and falls in love with Madhavi. The same broad-minded Doctor Vinayak , when he comes to know that his own son has fallen in love with Madhavi, the daughter of a prostitute, forgets his principles and tells his son that man should always have two characters-one for himself and one for the world. So for the sake of society he should sacrifice the love of Madhavi.

A clash takes place between the father and son. Madhavi seeing this decides to make her own sacrifice. She meets with an accident and Dr. Vinayak, the only specialist who can perform the operation, is asked to save her. Dr. Vinayak forgets his duty as a doctor and tells his son that to him the prestige of his son and family was far more important than the life of Madhavi – He refuses to perform the operation.

Vijay turns rebellious and decides to file a criminal case against his father Dr. Vinayak for not performing the operation.

The story of “Paise Ki Gudiya” is not only an operation, in an operation theatre, in an operation theatre but it is an operation on the dirty minds and greedy thoughts of the so called rich and respected persons of the society.
